  • How do you tell who referrals came from?


    To assure collection of your referral fees simply ask them to fill in your domain name or affiliate ID in the "Referred By" field on the form when they place the order.

    Note that anyone who enters the site through a link like http://hostings.com/?aid=YOUR-AFFILIATE-ID has a "cookie" stored on their hard disk that identifies you as the referrer. When they access our site that cookie is passed to us, if they ever order a site your Affiliate ID automatically appears in the Referred By field on the order forms and you are automatically credited with the referral - no matter how long they take to make up their minds.

    Your Affiliate ID is also passed in a hidden field in case they change the contents of the visible field. The CGI script that processes the orders automatically looks up your registration information and sends you an email notification at the time the order is placed.

    You do NOT need to have a site with us to sign up as an agent (FREE) and collect referral fees.
