  • How do I run my own CGI programs?


    Put your CGI programs in the cgi-bin directory.

    • The cgi-bin will automatically change the permissions to chmod 755 for you
    • It's important (because of the apache wrapper being run) that scripts and their directories be chmod 755 (chmod 777 will not work)
    • The scripts will execute with your userid/groupid
    • If you want your CGI script to execute with your userid/groupid when using the secure server, see the section in the manual that covers the Secure Server CGI Wrapper
