Your site is running on a custom version of Red Hat Linux that requires secure (encrypted) telnet connections (insecure telnet connections are not allowed).
To use a secure telnet connection you may use any secure (SSH) telnet program you choose. For a free secure Windows telnet program, see: Download - Info
Once you have downloaded putty.exe:
run it using port 229enter the host name (or IP address)click on SSHSave the profile (if desired, optional)click Open to establish the connectionenter login and password when prompted
Note: some servers have been upgraded to SSH2. If you find that the settings above do not work for your site, use this procedure to connect using SSH2:
run putty.exeenter the host name (or IP address)click on SSHTo the left of this screen you will see a menu, you need to go down the menu to Connection --- SSH. Double-click on the SSH option.Change the "Preferred SSH protocol version" to 2Highlight the "Encryption cipher selection policy" to be 3DESSave the profile (if desired, optional)click Open to establish the connectionenter login and password when prompted
